Making & Outsourcing in China

I started by sourcing from China, how can I go one step further and control the making of my parts or even making them myself?

There are 3 main options. Firstly you can develop your parts manufacturer to get him to assemble for you. Secondly you can go for a Joint Venture with a Chinese Manufacturer or thirdly you can go for a wholly owned subsidiary in China. The first two carry risks with Intellectual Property and its enforcement, the third requires large capital expenditure and carries large execution risks.

Yes, but there is so much it would be beyond the scope of this site. I have tried to help with my sections on LAW, CULTURE and TAX. Most likely you need to get some expert help before you commit to any cash.

Any other options?
